I enjoy experimenting with weave structures. This collection of small woven bags or purses was the result of playing with deflected wefts. Some of these bags are for sale on my Etsy shop - see the link to 'Shop' above.
Cushions are great for displaying individual and quirky designs.
These 'Funny Birds' were inspired by my favourite book on designing for embroidery.
They are woven in wool using a looped pile technique called 'felpa'. The wool was dyed
with madder, indigo and other plant dyes.
