Following on from dyeing yarn with plant dyes, I have been exploring this fascinating technique where the plant material is directly used as a print medium on both paper and cloth. The possibilities are endless - I've only just scratched the surface.

Here are some examples.

The first two are printed using various leaves on cotton fabric with a logwood background.
The third is prunus and geranium leaves on hemp linen.
The fourth is rose leaves on watercolour paper.
